The Discord Server
The Discord Server might be the best way for you to enter in contact with us and the community. You will can meet musicians and passionates of music there. Also, if you want to follow the journal, there will be updates of articles releases so you will not miss them.
For the older generations who don’t know about Discord, this is a really cool “social media”, where you can create servers dedicated to specific topics, and gather specific community around it. Therefore, it’s completely different from the social medias like Facebook in the way that you don’t share pictures or status on your profile. It is made for communication purposes. In the Fingerstyle Magazine server, you will find dedicated areas where you can talk about specific topics, some areas to meet the community, some to ask questions,… The great part is that you choose what do you want to do, how you want to interract (just read or be an active member) and also you can control the notifications settings to not be over loaded with them.

If your demand is about putting a specific play in the highlights, we have few rules first :
- 1 : We don’t put covers of original fingerstyle songs (the rule also applies to classical music, there need to be some creation, not just reproducing a piece perfectly, no matter how good is the reproduction. This rule can be bypassed if there is added value to the original piece.).
- 2 : We are privileging quality over quantity, so be sure that the recording is made of good quality, and that the play is worth being among the others (which means that you think this play has it’s place among the releases of world-class fingerstyle players).
In addition, if you want to help us with your musical expertise (for example, history of an important fingerstyle song), we’ll be more than happy to exchange with you !
